BRIDGEWATER, NJ — In an effort to help a fellow Somerset County neighbor and family, Melinda Barros, owner of Forever Linxx in Somerville, will be donating a portion of her sales to the Armstrong family.

Armstrong is the sole breadwinner for his family that includes his wife Nancy and three children. A GoFundMe fundraising has been set up to help Armstrong’s family.

When Barros of Hillsborough heard about the family’s struggles she reached out to Patch to offer to help.
“We would like to extend the offer to donate a portion of our sales for the next month to their Go Fund Me campaign,” said Barros. “No one should have to take on that type of stress and have to worry about everyday money too.”

“We might not have much to offer by ourselves, but we can have a bigger impact by using the means we do have. If someone was coming to our store to make a purchase anyway, why not help someone else in the process? It doesn’t cost them anything extra, but the impact it leaves is going to help someone that needs it,” said Barros.
Barros will begin donating a portion of her sales this weekend and continue it through the end of July.
