The finals for the men’s Owen Hart Foundation tournament is now set.
CM Punk will meet Ricky Starks in the finals, which will take place on next week’s episode of Collision. The two had a brief staredown before this week’s Collision ended.
Starks defeated Powerhouse Hobbs after QT Marshall inadvertently distracted the referee, causing Hobbs himself to become distracted. This allowed Starks to hit a spear and pin Hobbs. After the match, Marshall attempted to apologize to Hobbs, but Hobbs had none of it and shoved Marshall. He also attacked Aaron Solo after he became involved.
Punk defeated Samoa Joe for the first time in his career in their fourth encounter against one another, with the first three taking part in Ring of Honor. Punk won with a victory roll. After the match, Punk attempted to shake the hand of Joe, who obliged at first. However, it was a trap as Joe attempted to choke out Punk with the coquina clutch. FTR ran down for the save.
Both the men’s and women’s finals will take place at the Saddledome in Calgary. Matches between Ruby Soho & Skye Blue on next week’s Dynamite and Willow Nightingale & Athena on Rampage will determine the women’s finals.
