AEW’s Matt Jackson suffered partially torn biceps in Trios title three-way

AEW's Matt Jackson is currently dealing with an injury.

On the post Raw edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez said Jackson had suffered a partially torn biceps during the three-way AEW Trios Championship match with House of Black, Jericho Appreciation Society and The Elite that took place earlier this month in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada on Dynamite.

“Apparently it happened early in the match and he worked the whole match with it,” Alvarez said.

“He opted to not get surgery and is hopeful he’ll be back quicker,” Meltzer added. “(With) surgery, you’re looking at seven months.”

Meltzer did not know what the timetable is for his return. He said the injury angle from last week's Dynamite was designed to write him off TV to explain his absence. The Young Bucks were attacked by the Blackpool Combat Club and were taken away in an ambulance.

“As far as timetable, it’s probably not too long? I don’t know. (Double or Nothing) is in two months. Two months feels short which is too bad if they are not on pay-per-view,” he said.
