Pro-Life Group Rallying Friday In Arlington Heights: Police

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — As part of its “Face the Truth Tour,” the Pro-Life Action League is planning to rally Friday afternoon near the intersection of Rand and Arlington Heights roads. The group will be active between 3 p.m and 4:30 p.m., according to the Arlington Heights Police Department.

“This annual gathering is Constitutionally protected, safeguarded by the First Amendment, and does not require a Village of Arlington Heights permit,” AHPD said in a social media post. “The group typically waives large posters containing graphic images.”

While police didn’t name the group in the post, according to the Pro-Life Action League’s website, the tour began last Friday and runs through Saturday. Arlington Heights is the 21st stop of 24 for the group.

Prior to the event in Arlington Heights, the group will be in Palatine from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Rand Road (Route 12) and Dundee. Road.

“Participants will visit sites throughout the Chicago area, holding pictures of beautiful unborn babies along with signs showing the victims of abortion,” Pro-Life Action League says. “Join us as we show our fellow citizens that the victims of abortion are members of the human family just like the rest of us.”

The group will be on the public right-of-way sidewalk at the intersection. Police said the information is being shared “so that drivers have an opportunity to make an informed decision on their course of travel during the above cited timeframe.”
