CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA — The California Highway Patrol provided more information about a pursuit Tuesday that ended in Lamorinda and resulted in a brief manhunt.
The chase started shortly after 4:30 p.m. Tuesday when a Contra Costa CHP officer saw a gray Hyundai Sonata being driven at speeds over 100 mph on westbound state Highway 4 at Harbor Street, according to CHP Officer Daniel Gilmore.
The woman driving the car initially fled from the officer but eventually pulled into a parking lot off of Port Chicago Way and SR-4 and stopped, Gilmore told Patch.
