NEW YORK CITY — Mayor Eric Adams demanded oral sex from a woman who asked him for help him with an NYPD promotion in 1993, a newly updated lawsuit contends.
The 26-page updated complaint, filed Monday in Manhattan Supreme Court by a former transit cop provides the first details about her sexual assault accusations against Adams, which she first made in November.
The woman contends Adams promised to help her with an employment issue, but instead drove her to a vacant lot.

“Defendant Adams then said, in no uncertain terms, that he would help her but that he also needed a favor,” the lawsuit states. “He told her that he ‘needed a b— job’ from her.”
Adams previously denied any accusations of wrongdoing from the woman.

“It absolutely never happened,” he said.
Sylvia Hinds-Radix, the city’s corporation counsel, said the mayor denies the newly elaborated-upon accusations in the lawsuit.
“While we review the complaint, the mayor fully denies these outrageous allegations and the events described here; we expect full vindication in court,” she said in a statement.
“Additionally, in 1993, Eric Adams was one of the most prominent public opponents of the racism within the NYPD, which is why the suit’s allegations that he had any sway over promotions of civilian employees is ludicrous.”
The woman — whom Patch is not identifying as she’s a potential victim of sexual assault — first filed a summons in November stating her intent to pursue an Adult Survivors Act claim, which she did just days before a state deadline to do so.
That originally filed summons itself provided few details about her accusations, but the updated complaint expands greatly upon the woman’s accusations.
It contends that in 1993, Adams — then a rising star in the NYPD known for fighting for the rights of fellow Black officers — had shown himself to be a predatory hypocrite.
The cited incident unfolded when the woman, a Black officer, went to Adams for help after she had been passed over for a promotion, the filing states.
Adams said he could help the woman get a promotion, and offered to talk about it during a drive to her home in Coney Island, according to the complaint.
But Adams instead drove north toward the Hudson River and pulled into a vacant lot, the lawsuit states.

He cajoled her for oral sex and exposed himself, the complaint contends. The officer refused and Adams, after forcing her to grab him, masturbated, according to the lawsuit.
“It was clear that he was angry at her for refusing his sexual demands,” the lawsuit states.
The woman contends she told several people, including current and former NYPD transit cops, and her daughters over the years about Adams’ behavior, the lawsuit states
