Berlin PD Probing 'Propaganda' Against 'Migrants' In Town: UPDATE

BERLIN, CT — Berlin police are investigating the discovery of “propaganda” pamphlets decrying “migrants” in a local neighborhood overnight Wednesday into Thursday.

The Berlin Police Department, in a Facebook post Thursday afternoon, said it is investigating the case, which happened in the areas of Sunset Lane, Cindy Lane, and Westview Terrace.

Police, however, did not divulge the nature of the “propaganda” or what the pamphlets said in the Facebook post.

Reached Thursday afternoon, BPD Deputy Chief Drew Gallupe said the pamphlets referenced “migrants.”

“Some fliers were distributed in random areas of town complaining about ‘migrants’ and looking to recruit people to their cause,” Gallupe told Patch.
