PLEASANTON, CA — A portion of Santa Rita Road south closed for about 3 hours Wednesday afternoon after a solo vehicle crash, according to the Pleasanton Police Department.
Just before 3:45 p.m., a Dodge sedan veered off the road and struck a metal fence, PPD Lt. Erik Silacci told Patch. The debris damaged several nearby parked cars, and a nearby building. The driver was transported to a nearby trauma center, and is reportedly in stable condition as of Thursday.

The road reopened just before 7 p.m. Police continue to investigate the cause.
