Livingston Seeks Funding For Turf Field, Bathroom At Community Center

LIVINGSTON, NJ — Livingston is seeking funds to install turf at a local athletic field and build a gender-neutral family bathroom at the municipal community center.

The Livingston Town Council voted in favor of the following resolutions involving grant applications as part of the consent agenda at their Feb. 26 meeting:

Res 24-091 – The Township Council of Livingston desires to apply for and obtain a grant from the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs for approximately $100,000 with a $25,000 local match to add ADA-compliant bathrooms to the Community Center to include a family bathroom.

Res 24-092 – The Township of Livingston desires to apply for and obtain a grant from AARP for approximately $50,000 with at 25% ($12,500) match, to carry out a project to provide a new gender-neutral family bathroom at the Community Center for seniors and their aides, families and individuals.

Res 24-101 – The Township of Livingston desires to apply for and obtain a grant from the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs for approximately $1,500,000 to carry out a project to improve township athletic fields at Okner Parkway by replacing existing natural grass fields with turf field.
