Making Sweet Memories Announces Opening In Shorewood

SHOREWOOD, IL — Several weeks after West 52 BBQ filled the vacancy at the original location for Casa Maya Mexican Restaurant, Shorewood has attracted Making Sweet Memories to fill the empty Cookie Jar Bakery storefront in the same business plaza.

Making Sweet Memories was previously in Minooka.

Signs for the new Making Sweet Memories in Shorewood are now on display at the former Cookie Jar location, 807 West Jefferson St. There are also signs in the window that “we’re hiring” and “coming soon.” The hiring sign indicates Making Sweet Memories needs to add a part-time baker-decorator, and is prior experience is required.

According to the coming soon sign, Making Sweet Memories will be a bakery and offer custom cakes as well as decorating classes and hosting parties.

On Friday, Making Sweet Memories announced on Facebook that it will have its soft opening from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Jan. 12. “Stop by and check out our new retail bakery items, enter raffles and receive discount coupons for decorating classes.”
