CROWN HEIGHTS, NY — Two teenage bystanders were wounded in a broad daylight shooting that sent Crown Heights locals running for their lives Wednesday morning, according to the NYPD and a witness.
Shots rang out on the corner of Eastern Parkway and Franklin Avenue about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, leaving a 16- and a 17-year-old bystander with leg injuries, according to police and nearby Dunkin’ store manager Elaine Antrobus.
“It’s like a movie,” Antrobus said. “Beyond scary.”

Both teens were sent to Kings County Hospital in stable condition, according to the NYPD.
Hours later, the two suspected shooters were still free.

Antrobus heard two “firecrackers” then saw people started running, “scattering for their life,” she told Patch.
Antrobus then saw the area “flocked with police” and a man and woman, both conscious and scared, loaded into ambulances.
Police noted an 18-year-old and another person are wanted for the shooting.
