Roman Reigns sounds quite happy with his WWE contract.
He spoke with Ariel Helwani ahead of WrestleMania 39 and said anyone on the WWE roster would take his deal if they could get it, specifically naming Seth Rollins.
Reigns said:
I love my setup. They can all say what they want, every single one of them would take my deal if they could get it but they just can't get it. They'll get a big fat 'no' and there's nothing they can do about it.
They can say what they want. Seth, any of them. Seth would take my deal, he would take my dates. He'd love to get my money but it's not for him. It's the Tribal Chief setup, that's just the way it is.
Earlier in the conversation, Reigns was asked how much longer he wants to wrestle for at his current pace.
Reigns responded:
At this pace, you know, I take good care of myself. As long as it makes sense. I feel good. I'll be 38 in a couple months, I still feel like I could probably push to definitely 45 if I wanted to. I don't need to but really it's just about what is available, the art, you know.
Our own Dave Meltzer reported in May 2022 that Reigns signed a new contract with WWE that called for far fewer dates than he'd been working previously. Reigns would later say on the Today Show that the contract allows for him to spend more time with his children and referred to it as a "blessed situation." He first signed with WWE in 2010 after retiring from professional football.
Reigns was awarded Best Box Office Draw in the 2022 Wrestling Observer Newsletter Awards. He was voted Best Gimmick the year prior. In 2013, he was voted Most Improved and his tag team with Seth Rollins won Tag Team of the Year.
