TREDYFFRIN, PA —Tredyffrin Township police on Thursday said a 15-year-old male is suspected of writing racist and anti-Semitic graffiti at the Valley Forge Middle School and Gateway Shopping Center.
Police said they are filing charges of ethnic intimidation and criminal mischief against the suspect with the Chester County Juvenile Probation office.
“The members of the Tredyffrin Township Police Department condemn all forms of racially motivated crime,” police wrote in a news release provided to Patch.

Police said they were dispatched on Sunday to Valley Forge Middle School, where a concerned citizen had discovered racially insensitive graffiti located on multiple signs near the athletic fields.
Police said that with assistance from Tredyffin/Easttown school officials, they also discovered graffiti that included racial slurs and anti-Semitic symbols on nearby restrooms.

The previous day, police were notified of racist and anti-Semitic graffiti at an unidentified retail establishment in the Gateway Shopping Center and on township-owned property on Valley Forge Road.
Police said the investigation is ongoing and they are unable to provide further details.
